Let COM show you how! Get started » Event announcement: Registration for Palmer on August 8-9 is now open! COM Members, As with the Thompson event, due to social distancing regulations and guidelines we will not be able to offer in-car instruction, and this event will be for COMSCC licensed drivers only. HOWEVER… We will be considering a limited number of student members who have run with COM at Palmer before. If you would like to be considered for entry, please register for the event, where you will be put on a wait list, and our Chief Instructor will reach out. Drivers that possess recognized competition credentials with other organizations are also encouraged to register or reach out to our Chief Instructor ( chiefinstructor@comscc.org ) for consideration. You will not be charged for the event until you are in. Due to the short time frame, We anticipate this event will fill up fast, so please register early to ensure you get a spot. This is a Time Trial event so participants will receive 2 Participation Points (see section J in the COMSCC Event and Time Trial rules). There is going to be a LOT of track time! The first day is practice with four twenty to thirty minute sessions, or more. The second day is a Time Trial with two twenty to thirty minute practice sessions, the Time Trial, and then open track until the checker at 5pm. If you’ve never run a time trial with COM, you owe it to yourself to indulge in this form of competition. Our points-based car classification system will fit your car into one of our 8 Touring classes for street cars, or one of our 6 Super classes for more modified or purebred race cars. To ensure the health and safety of all participants and staff, and to help our venue remains open and operating, we will comply with all CDC, state, local and venue-specific requirements, and we will be limiting the event to drivers, crew, staff, and immediate family only. Unfortunately, we are sorry to report that this means we are unable to safely offer in-car student instruction at this time. There will be no passengers of any kind. All social distancing and PPE requirements shall be enforced.
